Welcome to my blog!
I’m Stefanie Valakas, and I’m a dietitian-to-be. I have just finished my first year of Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics course at the University of Sydney, after completing my Bachelor of Science undergrad, majoring in Nutrition and Metabolism, I also have senior level Physiology and Microbiology knowledge.
I love to cook and bake, and generally talk about food and I thought this would be a good way to communicate with people about what I’m passionate about, in an easy-to-understand way. Often the word “diet” is met by a collective groan, so hopefully a little bit of insight and perspective on food and diets will help change that and find a bit more enjoyment from food and also improve their overall wellbeing.
This blog will include articles, focus topics on particular foods, nutrients, fad diets, or whatever else I learn along the way! I’m also documenting my journey to becoming a dietitian.
